Michael Eneyo’s book titled “Philosophy of Unity: Love as an Ultimate Unifier” is a furrow into the history, nature, gamut, purpose and gains of unity as a result of love. This work invites humanity to the urgency and necessity of positive relationship with one another to initiate the status quo of unity. Unity through love brings about existential co-relation for orderliness, focus and development in the society. One of the banes of the problems in the world derives from the privation of love among human beings and by extension, tribes, countries, races, sexes, etc. The advantages of true love cannot be overemphasized. The Holy Bible is replete with many portions, for instance in 1st Corinthians Chapter 16 verse 14: “Let your things be done with charity (love).” Elsewhere in Colossians Chapter 3 verse 14 it is recorded: “And above all these things put on charity (love), which is the bond of perfectness.” Yet another portion harps: “There is no fear in love” (1 John 4:18). Whereas in spite of the clamour by these verses, it is clear that the injunctions have yet to be adhered to. Hence, this work would not have been written at no other appropriate time than now that there are crises all over the world, most of which, are traceable to the near absence of unity as well as the lack of love for one another. The author is clear about his point that in the face of all the crises in the world, love is the answer or solution.
